BELOTERO® VOLUME with Lidocaine

Belotero dermal fillers are particularly indicated for the restoration of facial volume. Belotero Volume is a hyaluronic acid filler that uses a unique technology to easily incorporate and increase the volume of your facial skin tissue. This Belotero formulation is injected into the deep subcutaneous or supraperiosteal layer. The effect is natural, and the injected hyaluronic acid is usually not felt.

Belotero Volume with Lidocaine is an injectable resorbable implant indicated to restore facial volume, as for example to enhance the cheeks or the chin.

Belotero Volume with Lidocaine is presented in a single use pre-filled glass syringe, sterilized by moist heat. Each box contains one instruction leaflet, one or several syringe(s), two traceability labels per syringe and sterile CE-marked needle(s) and/or cannula(e) for single use only. Belotero Volume with Lidocaine is composed of cross-linked sodium hyaluronate: 26.0 mg/ml Phosphate buffer pH 7 q.s.: gel volume. The volume of the gel in each syringe is stated on the external box.

Here’s how to administer Belotero Volume with Lidocaine:

• Belotero dermal fillers are designed to be injected into the deep subcutaneous layers or above the periosteum by a legally approved practitioner. It is essential that the practitioner has received specific training on the injection techniques for restoring facial volume.
• Check the integrity of the inner packaging and the expiry date for both the syringe and the needle prior to use. Do not use these products if the expiry date has lapsed or if the packaging has been opened or damaged.
• It must be injected into healthy, non-inflamed, and previously rigorously disinfected skin using one of the supplied needles.
• Inject slowly. The quantity of the gel to be injected depends on the area to be treated and the correction to be achieved. Do not inject more than 3 ml per treatment site at each session. Avoid over-correction.
• Gently massage the treated area after the injection to distribute the product uniformly.

Contraindications

Belotero Volume with Lidocaine is contra-indicated:

• In case of known hypersensitivity to one of the product’s components, especially to sodium hyaluronate.
• In pregnant and breast-feeding women.
• In young patients under 18 years old.
• In patients presenting a general infection.

Do not inject Belotero dermal fillers into blood vessels, the glabellar region, the tear-trough region, the lips, or areas presenting cutaneous problems of an inflammatory or infectious type (acne, herpes). Do not use it for correction of superficial wrinkles and fine lines or in an area previously treated with a permanent dermal filler.

After-care

• Avoid applying makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment.
• Avoid saunas, Turkish baths, and prolonged exposure to the sun or UV rays for 2 weeks after treatment.
• Avoid putting pressure on and/or handling the treated area.
