DESIRIAL®

DESIRIAL® is an injectable hydrogel entirely made to improve comfort in the female intimate area.

DESIRIAL® products are indicated for all cases of vulvo-vaginal dryness. Dryness may be perceived as discomfort, burning, increased sensitivity, chronic irritation or itching. DESIRIAL® fillers can also be used in cases of atrophy of the labia majora. After a certain age, skin tissue in the genital region tend to shrink, especially around the labia majora, creating a compromise in the vulva’s natural protection and leading to localized pain.

DESIRIAL® products are dedicated to trophic conditions restoration (hydration, elasticity, tone, sensitivity) in the vulvo-vaginal area. Hyaluronic acid is directly injected into the tissues concerned, to limit vaginal dryness and improve tissue quality.

A local anaesthetic may be suggested before injection of DESIRIAL® and/or DESIRIAL® PLUS fillers, ensuring more comfort during treatment. DESIRIAL® is usually injected into the vulvar area and the entry of the vagina. Your practitioner will use a needle when injecting to ensure superficial administering, just below the mucosal tissue, providing rehydration of the area. The procedure usually lasts 20 minutes.

Contraindications:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
• Areas showing signs of clinical inflammation and/or viral infection (e.g.: Papilloma, Herpes), bacterial, fungal (e.g.: thrush), also for patients being treated for these pathologies.
• Patients with known hypersensitivity to one of the components (e.g.: hyaluronic acid). Remember to tell your doctor about your pathological history, such as autoimmune diseases or immunotherapeutic treatments.

After-care:

• • Cooling: Use a cool compress to reduce swelling for a few days.
  • Gentle Cleansing: Wash the treated area twice daily with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Avoid harsh products.
  • Moisturize: Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer 2-3 times a day to keep skin hydrated.
  • Sun Protection: Avoid sun exposure for a week and always wear SPF 30+ sunscreen after.
  • Avoid irritants: Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and strenuous exercise for at least a week.
  • Makeup: Check Desirial instructions for makeup application advice.
  • Itching/Discomfort: Mild itching or swelling is normal. Use a cool compress or calamine lotion for itching. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help with discomfort.
  • Call if Concerned: If you experience unusual swelling, redness, pus, or prolonged pain, contact your doctor right away.
