WHAT IS STYLAGE?
Stylage S, a cross-linked hyaluronic acids dermal filler gel, is manufactured by Vivacy Laboratories with its innovative IPN–Like Technology. Skin is rejuvenated from the inside by the addition of antioxidant mannitol. Stylage S has a physiological pH and osmolarity, and is sterile. Stylage S comes with 0.3% of lidocaine to help reduce pain during the procedure. The dermal filler contains a 16mg/g concentration of hyaluronic acids. It is available in prefilled syringes of 0.8ml size, with two labels to track the product and four single-use 30G1/2 ” sterile needles.
What is it used for?
Stylage S is used to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and for lip augmentation. It has a low amount of hyaluronic acids, so it can fill in wrinkles on the hands and face. This filler can also be used if patients have dark circles or hollows under their eyes. You can also use Stylage to treat:
- Crow’s Feet also known as Periorbital Wrinkles, these wrinkles appear at the outer corner.
- Perioral wrinkles: These are lines around the lips.
- These lines appear between the eyebrows and are also known as frown lines.
- Oral Commissures: The lines around the corners of your mouth.
HOW DOES THE DERMAL FILLER WORK
Extrinsic or intrinsic aging can cause skin depressions. The normal biological aging process of the human body is called intrinsic aging. Genetic signaling is responsible for slowing down the rate of cell renewal and tissue repair. Extrinsic aging is often a factor that accelerates signs of aging. This is due to environmental exposure. Extrinsic aging, which is caused by environmental factors such as smoking and unhealthy eating habits, can cause free radicals to increase cell damage.
Combining intrinsic and extrinsic ageing can cause skin components such as collagen and hyaluronic acids to decrease. The skin becomes dry and wrinkled, which can make the person look tired and worn down. Stylage S treatments can help improve this condition. IPN-Like Technology, a patent-pending technology, creates a gel that has viscoelastic qualities. This makes its effects last a long time. Mannitol is also added to increase its antioxidant properties. It can improve the post-injection results and preserve the filler effects for a longer time. The added lidocaine helps reduce discomfort during the procedure. Hyaluronic acid is used to reduce skin depressions and promote natural skin hydration. The appearance of wrinkles is diminished, and the skin appears more radiant.
HOW DO YOU INJECT IT
Before you inject, review your patient’s medical history. Also explain any side effects and the expected results. If you keep the dermal filler in a fridge, bring it to room temperature. Attach the supplied needle to the luer lock adapter. Clean the area. Use a sterilized 30G 1/2″ needle to inject Stylage S in the targeted areas. If you prefer, inject the gel into the lip mucosa. To slowly inject the gel, use linear threading or serial puncture. To maximize the distribution of the gel, massage the treated area. Apply the gel warm to the area.
HOW LONG WILL IT LASTEN?
One Stylage S treatment may last for up to nine months. However, it is possible for the duration to vary depending on how the area was treated, your age and your lifestyle. This transparent, non-permanent gel is biocompatible and will gradually dissolve into the tissues.
Is this product safe?
Most patients can safely use Stylage S. The chances of allergic reactions to hyaluronic acids are very low because they come from non-animal sources. Patients with hypertrophic scarring, such as those who are predisposed, should be cautious.
